What a breathtaking view! Here, I am looking down from the Oceanfield at Watermouth Valley campsite towards Broadsands Beach.

You can walk from the campsite along the costal path to Coombe Martin and enjoy spectacular vistas along the way.

Indeed, we  walked to Coombe Martin and then caught the bus back.  Did you know that Coombe Martin claims to have the longest village High Street in the country? Furthermore, it is a lovely village, and well worth a visit.

Broadsands at Watermouth is one of the quieter beaches along the way. It is great for swimming, rock pooling or just sitting back and taking in the beauty of the bay.  Although this cove is very sheltered, you need to walk down the 200+ steps  to reach it . And then of course, back again!

However, if you’re seeking relaxation, cold water swimming or coastal exploration we believe Broadsands Beach is a great choice.

We stayed at Watermouth Valley Campsite in our VW camper van.  We were impressed by the site’s comfort and cleanliness, not to mention the breathtaking views.

We were delighted to find Coast to Valley  This is the on-site food outlet and I found that it offers great value for money.

Their delicious meals and homemade cakes made us regulars. We couldn’t resist trying everything! The daily-changing menu with different themes ensures there’s something tasty for everyone. Yummy indeed!
